Association To Present Full Lineup Of Offerings…

The International Detailing Association (IDA) is excited to be part of the inaugural Mobile Tech Expo/Las Vegas, September 5 – 7, 2019, at the South Point Hotel & Casino. We have a full lineup of offerings from education to certification to networking, and we are looking forward to connecting with detailing professionals at a new event!

We are making our debut at the Show with three sessions on Education Day, Thursday, September 5. As is tradition at the original MTE, several IDA members will present on topics about which they are knowledgeable and passionate to help their fellow detailing professionals improve their businesses and careers.

This year’s lineup includes “The Science of Coatings,” presented by Jim Lafeber, CD-SV, RT; “The Importance of Standard Operating Procedures,” presented by Prentice St. Clair, CD-SV, RT; and “Secrets to Creating and Running the Most Successful Detail Business,” presented by IDA President Jonathan Munsell, CD. Complete session descriptions can be found on the IDA website. If you are interested in attending any of the IDA educational sessions, be sure to add the “Education Pass” to your ticket at registration on the Mobile Tech Expo website.

The IDA is also offering a complete IDA Certification Event—Phase I & II (CD-SV) at the Show. Phase I (Certified Detailer – CD) exams will be held on Thursday, September 5. Registration is $200 for IDA members and $400 for nonmembers. We encourage nonmembers to join the IDA before registering for any certification event in order to obtain the member rate. Those interested in registering for Phase I (CD) testing should register in advance on the IDA website—limited onsite registration will be available.

Phase II (Skills Validated – SV) testing will be held on Friday, September 6. Registration is currently full for Phase II testing, but interested parties can contact the IDA Central Office to be added to the event waitlist. Please keep in mind that Phase II applicants must have already completed Phase I certification (or plan on completing at the event) to fulfill the classification of Certified Detailer.
