Breaking New Ground

Detailers Digest And Mobile-Tech News Are Going Digital!…

Times, they are a-changing. Automotive technology is moving at warp speed.  The Internet has altered the way people and companies communicate and do business. Nearly everyone relies these days on mobile devices—smartphones, tablets and so forth—to gather and share information, and keep up to date on what’s happening in whatever industry they’re involved in.

For more than two decades, Detailers Digest and Mobile-Tech News have been your one-stop, printed source of information on and about key segments of the auto aftermarket. But, now, it’s our turn to break new ground and enter the digital age.

Starting with our May 2018 edition, we will debut a brand-new electronic publication. The newly named Mobile Tech Digest will be delivered monthly to your email inbox in a reader-friendly format, allowing you to receive up-to-date information in a timelier manner than a bimonthly print edition.

You’ll continue to get the great content you now enjoy—tech tips from Doug Snow and Kian Amirkhizi, business advice from detailing guru Bud Abraham, new-product updates, industry and global news, and, of course, contributions from our trade group partners, IDA, PDR Nation and NAPDRT, that bring so much value to the industry and our publication.

But that’s not all. The new digital platform also allows us to broaden our scope and yours, as we not only center our content on detailing, PDR and recon, but embrace as well auto enhancement, glass repair and paint, and occasionally cover other topics of interest.

So you’re wondering how this all came about? It wasn’t simply a snap decision.

Since the get-go, the mission of Detailers Digest and Mobile-Tech News has always been to respond to our readers’ interests and needs to help drive sales and grow their businesses. But to stay relevant in today’s fast-paced world, it was essential for us to identify the most effective channel of communication.

With that thought in mind, we surveyed attendees at the Mobile Tech Expo. We asked them to tell us if they would prefer to receive a print or digital publication. Not surprisingly, digital won out by a substantial margin.

We are excited to embark on this next chapter in the magazine’s evolution. Mobile Tech Digest will continue to provide the high-caliber, industry-specific content that you, our readers and advertising partners, rely on and turn to first for information relevant to your business. And we invite you to join us on this new journey into the digital age.
